Me being Jack O'Grady. I'm a copywriter, author, content designer, information architect, editor, general enjoyer of words and meaning.I've done some fun work in my short time here, you can check it out below.

Designing a More Human Future

As a content designer/strategist/manger/writer my job is to discover or return the humanity in digital experiences. Even when that ask is not explicit in the brief, it's fundamental to my approach. We live in a world inundated with content, why not make it beautiful?

In my current role as a Content Designer at Publicis Sapient, I've had the opportunity to contribute to game-changing work. I've worked on the technical, strategic and creative sides of the user experience; handling content model documentation and annotation; auditing a major B2B site and applying learnings to a strategic redesign; and helping to design the copy experience that will guide users through an all-in-one home app.

  • Serving as lead content designer on two student projects for UNC's Blue Sky Innovations Lab.

  • Spearheading a total blog redesign project for a major design software company, focusing on historical SEO strategy.

Writing Worlds That Live, Breath and Hope

My passion for adding beauty to the world at any opportunity extends well beyond what I do for a living. My whole life, I've aspired to create more than words and stories, I've lived for the worlds that I might imagine and the power that a shared fiction can have when applied as a community.

I've been pursuing this love recently through two major ongoing projects.The Downtime Review is a literary magazine I started in April of 2023 with a co-worker, focused on platforming the work of writers with day jobs. We aspire to provide critical feedback on every piece we receive, whether or not we accept it for publication. You can check out the mag's website below!

Journeys Weird and Winding is a new tabletop RPG I launched on itch.io and drivethrurpg. The game is centered around the exploration of a shattered world, where magic brings out new strangeness at every corner. You can download it below!

I'm also deeply passionate about my written work. While that aspect of my creative journey is only just getting off the ground, I'll be sharing all current and upcoming publications here.
